We begin by building a therapeutic relationship in the psychodynamic sense, building trust and focusing on emotion. I then incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy to assess maladaptive beliefs and behavior patterns. In session, I often use attachment-focused EMDR blended with parts work to process past traumas and to begin strengthening new, more adaptive beliefs and behavior patterns.
