I work with people struggling to resolve feelings of anxiety or sadness, or those who find that relationship challenges seem to keep repeating themselves. Together we embark on a journey of discovery to identify and understand the patterns operating below awareness that inform expectations, and color perceptions. Whether working with adults, adolescents, couples or caregivers, I believe therapy should be an engaging and dynamic process where all thoughts and feelings are welcomed. Healing occurs when we allow ourselves the freedom to express the scope of our emotions, and my sessions are as likely to include laughter as tears.
I've received specialized training in attachment and how it informs ongoing human development. This training has included understanding the impact of traumatic events on psychological well-being and brain functioning, and ways that painful experiences can be reconciled and integrated to promote increased health and security.
Parenting is an amazing, stressful, and exhausting experience. I offer support that makes sense of challenging and confusing behaviors, and results in strategies that reduce problematic interactions and strengthen the parent/child relationship. This service helps parents navigating difficult behaviors in the child, or their own emotional or interpersonal challenges.
