After 14 years as a middle school teacher, I chose to continue my education in mental health counseling. As a cognitive behavior therapist, I have learned ways to re-frame life events into positive learning experiences. The end result is a reduction of the physical effects of anxiety and depression allowing clients to move forward.
My teaching background has educated me on the unique needs of today's adolescent as they strive to discover their identity in an often isolating, technologically advanced world. My work and life experiences are not limited to teens, I work with all ages and look forward to hearing your life story.
