As a clinical/forensic psychologist, Dr. Kirschenbaum practices criminal and civil forensics. She provides expert opinion on federal and state criminal matters. Dr. Kirschenbaum specializes in trauma assessments for the purpose of sentencing mitigation, comprehensive psychological evaluations and competency evaluations. Dr. Kirschenbaum has been appointed to the Superior Court of California - Los Angeles County Panel of Psychiatrists and Psychologists and the Superior Court of California - San Diego County Expert Witness List.
Dr. Kirschenbaum currently holds academic appointments at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and Fuller Theological Seminary, School of Psychology. She is the Clinical Program Manager of the Olive View-UCLA Medical Center forensic psychiatric inpatient unit. She supervises doctoral-level psychology students and UCLA psychiatry residents.
