Hi, I am Kelcie Landry, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I stand by the quote by author Noam Sphancer, "Mental health is not a destination, but a process. It's about how you drive, not where you are going." Overall, my approach is client-centered and holistic, with an emphasis on acceptance and mindfulness. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, history of trauma, work/life balance, perfectionism, and self-esteem struggles. My communication style is compassionate and curious, but direct. My goal with communication is to understand and gain clarity.
My personal experience growing up in the rural south USA has led me to this path. I was attracted to a supportive role, especially for individuals who struggle with boundaries and expression. It is a personal goal of mine to help others feel understood, fulfilled, and experience peace along their journey.
I approach goal setting from a person-centered approach based on individual values. During the first session I review expectations, assess individual needs and history, and identify values. Our values provide a foundation for goal setting and give a sense of direction.
