My job as a therapist is to ensure my clients feel understood and learn to manage challenges that may come up in life. I am here to support you.
My priority is in developing a deep, trusting alliance with my client. The "fit" a client has with a therapist is everything in terms creating healthy change. I achieve this by centering the intersectional identity and experiences of my client so I can meet them where they are at. This allows their experiences to inform & enhance therapeutic progress.
I have a particular fondness for working with people of diverse backgrounds. Due to my own experiences living and working in communities of color and with immigrants/refugees, I am more aware than most of the additional challenges faced by those with language, racial, religious and other cultural factors.
