My goal as a counselor is to create a safe space for all clients to grow and heal as their authentic selves. I think it is so important to understand yourself and be who you are. I am also passionate about breaking the stigma around mental health to increase access for everyone.
I enjoy working with teens and adults, including the LGBTQ+ population, and have a special areas of interest in grief and trauma. I also have experience treating Anxiety, Depression, OCD, Trauma disorders, Prolonged Grief Disorder, ADHD, and Bipolar Disorder, but am open to working with a wider range of diagnoses!
I use CBT as my foundational theory but employ an eclectic approach in sessions including Person-centered, Psychoanalytic, Existential, and DBT aspects. Before becoming a counselor, I previously worked in domestic violence and spent many years working on the 988 suicide hotline. I use this experience to inform my daily work.
