I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland, Washington DC, and Georgia. I specialize in working with BIPOC women who struggle with impacts from “The Mother Wound.” They’ve experienced consistent emotional neglect from their mothers resulting in relational and developmental trauma. These women often experience challenges with core issues of self-worth and identity, perfectionism and overachievement, negative inner critic, people pleasing, relationship and boundary dysfunction, fear of being “too much” or “too little” and distressing emotions related to fear of abandonment and rejection.
I have highly successful clients who often lack work/life balance, purpose, and peace. Using an integrative and personalized approach, they learn to manage distressing emotions and eliminate toxic relationships. They also learn to identify, challenge and replace distorted and negative thoughts, and modify unhealthy behaviors all for a life of deeper joy.
I provide a warm, safe, peaceful and non-judgmental place for my clients - a space that offers validation, empathy, and empowerment. We'll work at your pace and will identify strategies that work for you. The coping skills you learn in session will easily transfer to every day life.
