Hello and welcome, I am so glad you are here! I am Dr. Kearisten Gaines, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Ohio. Taking the first step towards therapy can be difficult. That is why when working with clients my goal is to always create a compassionate, safe, and judgement free atmosphere. This allows me to work in collaboration with my clients, as I believe they are the experts of their lives. Through the therapeutic process we will work together to address the difficulties you are facing, create meaningful change, and help you to feel empowered and in control of your life!
My therapeutic specialties include treating trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, sexual assault survivors, grief, perinatal/postpartum mental health. Additionally, I am dedicated to providing a safe, affirming, and supportive space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
I also offer psychological testing for children to help uncover their unique strengths and challenges. I provide evaluations for ADHD, Autism, learning disorders, IQ testing, and giftedness assessments. My goal is to help families gain clarity, support school planning, and guide interventions that foster growth and confidence.
