I have a rich background in mental health care and am highly adaptable, using empathy, warmth, and gentle confrontation to find creative solutions that work for YOU or your child. Therapy is NOT one-size-fits-all. Each client requires their own individualized approach based on their unique personality and experiences.
My orientation to therapy is centered around self-acceptance and compassion, using a Person-Centered model and tools from Mindfulness-based Cognitive therapy, DBT, and IFS. The research shows that the most important element of effective counseling is the relationship, so building authentic connection and trust are my first priority in session.
