I am a queer, non-binary clinician with ADHD, and I am passionate about helping people to live their most authentic and meaningful lives. I take a radical feminist and anti-capitalist approach to therapy, exploring the impact that oppression and discrimination has on one's mental health and well-being. I believe each client is the expert of their own lives, and I work in collaboration with my clients to find the treatment approach that works best for them.
Our first session will be focused on helping me to get a full picture of my client, including not only presenting symptoms/problems, but also relevant factors such as social supports, family structure, medical/health history, trauma, strengths, and important values/beliefs. I want to know what your experiences have been thus far with therapy.
I am knowledgable of the needs of neurodivergent clients, including accommodating communication styles, use of visual aids, and providing clear session structure when needed. I am skilled with rapport building, expressing compassion, and reflecting client strengths. I am a certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP-II).
