I believe in helping clients heal and overcome distress through developing safe and secure attachments in relationships, improving resilience and self-efficacy, identifying and utilizing your character strengths, and building resources and skills to create lasting change that will improve your quality of life.
I specialize in working with older teens, college students, and young adults, but welcome anyone 13yo and up for individual therapy or couples therapy. I treat a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, relationship issues, family conflict, low self-esteem, stress management, and life transitions.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in Person-Centered therapy in which the relationship between client and clinician is a priority and is based in mutual trust, respect, acceptance & empathy. In addition to a Person-Centered, trauma-informed approach, I utilize techniques from narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy.
I tailor my approach to therapy to be a unique fit for each client based on their needs and goals for therapy. Because I believe clients are the expert on themselves, I use a collaborative approach to the therapeutic relationship in which client and therapist mutually work together to explore and identify areas of life causing distress and goals for therapy.
