I have a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Master's in Social Work from Spring Arbor University, where I learned to integrate faith and evidence-based practices. I believe in a holistic approach to counseling, which is an integrative approach to psychotherapy that treats the whole person: mind, body, heart, and spirit. Holistic therapy goes beyond treating just symptoms and strives to create long-term healing and wellness by addressing the root cause of your challenges. I am passionate about the role nutrition and movement plays in our mental health and overall well being.
I have spent the last 10+ years working with kids of all ages in various settings. My experience includes helping with child behavioral concerns, academic support, communication, youth suicide support, eating disorders, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and bipolar. In addition, I am passionate about perinatal, parenting, and marriage support.
My favorite populations to work with are adolescents (11+), young adults, women, pre/postpartum mothers, and new parents.
In my free time, I love to volunteer at my church where I help with community outreach, women’s ministry, and nursery. I enjoy reading, crafting, cooking, baking, outdoor adventures, board games, and spending time with my husband and tw
