A child at their core is someone who wants to love and be loved. As people, we are life long learners and the growth that happens in these moments is powerful. Sometimes these moments that are related to growth are unexpected or not going to plan. My goal is to give your child a safe space to express themselves, build their confidence, explore their emotions, identify what coping skills work for them, promote effective communication, and create helpful routines.
I utilize play-based techniques and work with children, adolescents, and caregivers. Supporting your child as they manage the emotional, educational, and relational impacts that can arise from mental health challenges.
I became a therapist because I believe that sometimes we continue to drive in the muddy ruts in the road because we don't know that there is an alternative path. We try to gain control but the vehicle pulls us back into those ruts. Therapy can provide every person an alternate route on their journey to the kid, young adult, or caregiver they want to be.
