Seeking therapy can be an unnerving task. It can be scary to open up to a stranger about personal thoughts, feelings and experiences. My goal as a therapist is to create a welcoming and safe environment for clients to be able to fully experience themselves and reflect on their lives. I encourage clients to embrace their truths and build up their confidence over the course of treatment by both validating and providing areas to look deeper in sessions.
During sessions, I utilize an integrative approach with a person-centered lens. I emphasize unconditional positive regard and being authentic as a therapist. Additionally, I use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Gestalt therapy.
