I am Kayla Thompson, a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC), and my passion lies in working with couples and individuals facing concerns about life transitions, attachment issues, and trauma. I am also deeply passionate about helping individuals navigate and overcome unhealthy substance use.
I utilize a well-rounded approach that highlights certain aspects of Adlerian and psychodynamic theories. I believe humans are social beings who all need a sense of belonging, and that exploring the past can uncover aspects that are affecting the present.
I always enjoy watching clients transform into their true selves. I understand from personal experience that some transitions are painful and confusing, and that expressing yourself can be challenging. I strive to be a supportive presence through my warmth and outward empathy.
