I have experience counseling individuals from all stages and phases of life. I work with clients to discuss trauma, effective communication skills, problem solving, grief, relationship issues, and self-esteem. I believe in a systems approach where I assist people with their presenting concerns and making lasting changes for their future. I am here to listen to what each individual needs from therapy and adjusts my approach to best suit each person. Making it so that you have a partner in walking through whatever challenges have brought you to my couch.

I like to bring compassion and theory to every individual I work with. Using a variety of different therapeutic modalities including but not limited to: EMDR, solution focused, client-centered, cognitive processing therapy, and cognitive behavioral theory.

I work with clients that may be struggling with trauma, life transitions, anxiety, and depression. Treatment would begin with an intake session to gather information, followed by client tailored treatment. Typical treatment includes discussion of presenting problems, processing mental health in daily living, learning and implementing coping skills. Within a short time, symptoms tend to decrease.

During our initial session, we look at presenting concerns and collaborate to create a plan for alleviating symptoms. We then work together using our plan as framework to attain sustained improvement. Throughout our time together, I'll teach you how to challenge thoughts and improve feelings with different skills. I often use CBT, SFBT, CPT, and S.A.F.E. EMDR to assist us in reaching these goals.
