Adverse Childhood Experiences are common. According to the CDC, about 61% of adults surveyed reported they experienced at least one traumatic event before the age of 18. Therapy is one of many tools that can be used to help prevent the long lasting impacts of trauma. That’s where I come in.
My passion is helping children, adolescents, and young adults navigate through the effects of trauma, along with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, familial stress, and/or other adversities life throws our way. I have experience with CBT, DBT, solution focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and play therapy, working with both groups and individuals.
My goal as a therapist is to not only work directly with the client and help them achieve their goals, but to also include their parents or families (as needed) to ensure support is being given across settings and to provide a safe space. Trauma can feel very isolating, but together we can work towards healing.
