It can be a long road of trial and error we all have to figure out through life. Traumatic experiences can act as roadblocks, affecting our ability to thrive. Sometimes we need help through this process. My job as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional is to work as a guide to help clients gain insight into their thoughts and behaviors. Together, we process these experiences through transparent discussion and bodily movement, to explore different avenues of healing.
In my practice, I primarily use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Therapy and bodily movement, EMDR, Harm Reduction and some Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills training. I am licensed in the state of Oregon as a LCSW and am licensed in the state of Washington as a LICSW. Please note: Washington clients I only see via telehealth.
I have a Bachelor's of Education degree in Family and Human Services from University of Oregon, and a Master's degree in Social Work from Portland State University. I have worked in an array of mental health settings including Secure Adolescent Inpatient Programs, Psychiatric Residential Treatment Services, School Based, Private Practice and Outpatient.
