I am a firm believer that we are all created with the capacity to grow and heal. I also believe that this sometimes involves making hard choices, including daring to invite others into our journey. And doing human relationships well is the bravest and hardest endeavor in our lives. As a therapist, my hope and goal is to walk alongside you in your struggles, listen to your story, and encourage you along your path. I am on your team and it is a privilege to hold space with you for any amount of time or any length of season.
I specialize in the treatment of underlying trauma and work with clients of all ages, genders, ethnicities, religious and spiritual backgrounds. My areas of expertise include child development, attachment, abuse, neglect, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, grief and loss, among a variety of other therapeutic concerns.
Exploring the ways in which our various experiences and life events have impacted us requires curiosity and courage. And when we are willing, healing can emerge.

Kay Neuhausel's Groups

Daring WayTM groups for adults of all backgrounds

The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The method was designed for work with individuals, couples, families, work teams, and organizational leaders. During the process we explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. We examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding us back and we identify the new choices and practices that will move us toward more authentic and wholehearted living. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent and lead.
