Hello and thank you for stopping by. Counseling is a very personal journey and it is important to find a counselor you can trust and feel comfortable with. I always encourage potential clients to research, compare, and even email or call prior to the first session so any initial questions or concerns can be answered and addressed. Over the past 22+ years both my training and experience in mental health have been in working with people with history of trauma, mood and anxiety type disorders, relationship difficulties, behavioral struggles, parenting issues, and life transitions.
My approach combines Person-Centered, Family Systems, Gottman Method (levels 1 and 2), CBT, and trauma-informed CBT models and I adapt it to meet the specific needs and personality of each client. I work with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couples/family, and group settings. Additionally, I provide licensure supervision to new clinicians.
Before private practice I worked for 2 agencies as a counselor, clinical supervisor, and clinical consultant. I hold Master's degree from Vanderbilt University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider in Tennessee, National Certified Counselor, and Approved Clinical Supervisor; member of ACA, TCA/TMHCA, and Chi Sigma Iota.
