My aim is to provide a compassionate, straightforward and personalized therapy experience based on therapeutic tools and techniques that have been found to be effective. I utilize in equal measure cognitive behavioral principles to target changes you want to make in unhelpful thinking or behavioral patterns as well as acceptance, mindfulness and compassion-focused approaches focused on self-understanding and self-compassion for life's struggles.
I have specialty training in anxiety disorders, stress-related problems, sleep/insomnia concerns & disordered eating. I also enjoy working with people on a variety of other issues, such as family challenges, life transitions, work and academic concerns, self-doubt, self-criticism, perfectionism & changes in mood/difficulty managing emotions.
My Psy.D. is in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. My previous experience includes serving a diverse student body at UCLA's Counseling and Psychological Services, where I also supervised psychologists in training, and developed emotion-regulation and compassion-focused groups.
