Finding an individual therapist, couples therapist, or child therapist who truly understands the impact of C-PTSD can be incredibly difficult. When neurodivergence, chronic illness, or an eating disorder are also present, the options become even more limited. Katy Hurst Counseling was created to address this gap. Whether you work with Katy or another member of the team, you’ll be thoughtfully matched with a skilled therapist who understands how to treat C-PTSD, Autism, ADHD, chronic illness–related stress, eating disorders, and the ways these experiences intersect.
We offer play therapy (ages 3+), IFS/parts work, EMDR, and Brainspotting (adult clients), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (couples/families). Therapists on this team have additional training in complex trauma and dissociation, the intersection of neurodivergence and trauma, chronic illness, and trauma-informed eating disorder care.
Finding the therapist can feel overwhelming—especially when C-PTSD, neurodivergence, chronic illness, or an eating disorder are part of your story. Our depth of knowledge in these areas allows us to move beyond traditional talk therapy to address the root causes of your distress. Reach out to us and finally feel understood!
