Hello! I’m Katy, an empathetic counselor with a passion for assisting individuals in navigating their mental health journey. I aim to attend to each individual client’s needs in the pursuit of building a strong, empathetic relationship where the client feels safe, supported, seen, and heard. The purpose of building this relationship is to allow each client to feel safe enough to explore their thoughts and emotions, learn coping strategies, and have a safe space to work through any other life challenges. I believe you, the client, are the expert of your own life and I strive to meet you where you are.
I have experience working with a variety of mental health challenges including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, high-functioning Autism, relationship challenges, ADHD, and Bipolar Disorder. I specialize in working with adults 18+, couples, and families to address emotional, mental, behavioral, and physical symptoms.
My style is a whole-person approach in which I consider and address all aspects of a client and their life in order to best serve them. My main approaches include but are not limited to CBT, Mindfulness, and EMDR. I believe each individual has the power within them to make meaningful and lasting change, and I look forward to assisting you on this journey.
