I specialize in insight-oriented therapy that focuses on coping skills, relational patterns, client strengths, and supportive reflection. I enjoy working with clients across age ranges and bring a developmental focus to my practice. My areas of expertise include relational problems, divorce, anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual assault, abuse, behavioral problems, sexual orientation and gender identity issues, and coping with type one diabetes.
I addition to my direct clinical work, I have supervised and trained clinical social workers and have taught as adjunct faculty at Loyola University Chicago. I currently teach social work at Oakland University. My teaching has focused on human behavior, psychosocial development, multicultural issues, and social work practice.
Prior to relocating to Michigan, I worked at the Center for Divorce Recovery and Jewish Child and Family Services in Chicago, Illinois.
