With over 35 years of experience in the behavioral health field, I am a dedicated practitioner deeply committed to helping individuals heal and thrive. I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southern Connecticut State University, and I am also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). In addition, I am a Registered Nurse, having earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut School of Nursing, and I am a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC).
Throughout my career, I have learned that many of my clients seek treatment due to unresolved grief from the numerous losses and traumas they have faced over their lives. This grief often traces back to early family dynamics and the experiences that shaped them. I take an eclectic approach to therapy.
My therapeutic approach centers around building a strong, trusting relationship with clients by creating a safe, non-judgmental space. I believe that every individual has inherent wisdom and resilience, and my role is to help clients reconnect with their inner strength.
