Hello, I am Katrina Myers I am an LPC here in Texas. I enjoy live music, playing outside with my dog, and reading mystery books. I love helping people find their true happiness and joy in life. I am more of an emotionally focused therapist I like to help people accept and express their emotions and learn to regulate them. I usually focus on Emotionally focused therapies. I also like to use Acceptance and commitment therapies. I also have 20 years in the education field with emotionally disturbed children and helping them have a better behavior plan and IEP's for their educational journey.
I am a very open listener, my tone is light and positive. I will give advice or ways to help you in your process, but not one to make it hard or overwhelming. I enjoy setting goals for people and journaling to express feelings as well.
I usually will set an easy goal and one medium/hard goal for you to accomplish. We will discuss how you wish to accomplish them and discuss ways for you to accomplish them. I do not like to overwhelm clients at first with goals, but really talk and get to know what the goal is you want to reach.
