I work with clients aged 12 and up helping them explore their experiences, process emotions and develop skills to thrive. With a background as a teacher and school counselor I bring a deep understanding of developmental stages and the challenges children and adolescents face. Unique elements of my practice are the therapeutic use of animals, creative arts, and sand tray. I also integrate mindfulness practices and yoga into my sessions, creating space for clients to center themselves, reduce stress, and enhance their emotional regulation. Sand tray therapy offers a unique, nonverbal way to explore emotions and experiences. Clients use miniature figures and objects in a sandbox to create scenes that represent their inner world. This process bypasses verbal communication, helping individuals express complex feelings, gain insight, and find healing through creative play and symbolic expression.
