C-PTSD is a bit like this: Imagine you grew up in a house filled with ghosts. Their presence was palpable and they inconsistently, yet consistently, came out to scare you. You worry they followed you out of your childhood and into your adult world because you just can't stop trying to find them before they get you first. You still see them sometimes, but you can't name them, and you fear no one else will believe you if you tell them they exist. If your stomach just dropped or you felt vaguely seen in this analogy, you may know the experience of living with complex trauma. If you are looking for a ghostbuster, I am your clinician.

I am non-pathologizing in my approach to treatment - I do not believe there is anything wrong with us, but that things have happened that have brought us the pain we carry. I pay attention to what is happening to my people intellectually, emotionally, and physically as I figure out how to help.

If you are ready to face the parts of yourself that are asking to be seen and tended to (your ghosts, so to speak) I encourage you to reach out!
