MA, LPC, NCC
I offer effective, short-term, professional counseling for individuals who are ready to make changes in their lives. Clients learn how to effectively cope with their issues so they can live with intention, purpose, and personal meaning. I help you set goals and realistic measures of progress toward goals, while boosting your motivation to keep going. We also examine any barriers to achieving goals and develop strategies to remove them or minimize their effects.
I have a Master of Arts in Counseling. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified as a National Certified Counselor for over 23 years, working in mental health for the past 17 years. I offer cognitive behavioral therapy that addresses issues related to stress, depression, anxiety, and dealing with emotionally destructive people.
Cognitive behavioral therapy teaches you how to reshape your thoughts and behaviors to have a positive impact on how you feel. For clients with a faith focus, I believe it is essential to tap into spirituality as a primary source of encouragement for personal worth and opportunities to grow.
