I approach counseling first and foremost with the hope of validating each individual's unique story. I believe that everyone is capable of change, and my goal is to help my clients explore what that change looks like for them. I provide an empathetic and open environment that gives my clients space to grow and heal without judgment. My practice of therapy is eclectic, although I primarily incorporate aspects of psychodynamic, narrative, and person-centered therapies, and often utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma work.
I received my master's degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina. While I have a degree in Christian counseling, I also largely practice secular counseling. I engage with each client in a way that is consistent with their belief system and values.
I enjoy working with teens and adults of all ages, and specialize in areas of childhood trauma & abuse, anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, and issues of faith & spirituality.
