About
I strongly believe in providing individuals, couples and families with a comfortable and supportive atmosphere to assist in overcoming obstacles of daily life. As a cognitive behavioral therapist, I believe that our thoughts play a role in our feelings, behavior and life satisfaction. I have a passion in assisting clients in identifying and reframing destructive thoughts patterns. I assist clients in identifying needs currently met through unhealthy patterns of coping and find alternative coping mechanisms that can increase life fulfillment. I believe in an individualized approach in which treatment is personalized for each client.
Anxiety, depression and associated disorders can cripple our ability to function, reduce the joy in of our lives, increase isolation and decrease motivation to achieve goals. I provide my clients with the support and tools to manage these symptoms.
I additionally specialize in substance use and eating disorders. Through the use of thought reframing, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and emotional exploration, I assist clients in gaining confidence in their ability to address difficult emotions and experiences in a healthy way. Evening and weekends are available.
