My name is Katie Raser and I am a licensed mental health counselor with a background in social work. I have been providing individual counseling to adults since 2017. After working with folks of all ages and in all stages of life, these days, I work with expectant and new parents, struggling with the transition to parenting, anxiety, depression, or other mood changes, or PMADS (previously referred to as post-partum depression). While I primarily work with birthing and pregnant people, I also am happy to work with non-birthing parents as well.
I strive to be warm, friendly, and welcoming, with just enough humor to make a person feel comfortable. I love having meaningful conversations with my clients and really work to get to know a whole person, not just their symptoms.
I work collaboratively with clients to identify what they want to work on and offer suggestions as appropriate. I also check in frequently to see if clients feel like they are making progress or need to adjust the goals that they have set. I believe in transparent conversation at all times about what is working and what is not.
