I am Katie, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 13 years of clinical experience working in community mental health with adolescents, teens, young adults, and families who are struggling with depression, anxiety, stress management, anger management, grief, loss, phase of life problems, self-esteem, identity issues, and relationship issues. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Elon University and my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.
I use an eclectic approach to counseling, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment-based therapy (ABT), motivational interviewing techniques, grief counseling, and mindfulness-based techniques. I work to help clients improve coping and problem-solving skills, challenge thinking patterns, and support personal growth.
I approach counseling in a warm, accepting manner, believing that all individuals can benefit from having an unbiased and objective listener to help them navigate through many of life’s challenges.
