Hello! My name is Katie and I am a mental health counselor, licensed in Massachusetts. I believe that those who identify as neurodivergent should have access to the same counseling resources as any other member of our community. I have experience working with clients that have found symptoms of anxiety and depression to be roadblocks in finding success. As a counselor, I have found great success in using CBT strategies with my neurodivergent clients.
I believe each of us have many strengths and unfortunately, neurodivergent individuals are not always given the tools to identify and benefit from these strengths. I have a close friend who is autistic and he has shown me the strength that autism has given him. He has also been vulnerable in showing the challenges that he has faced, living in our society.
