My approach to therapy is supportive and empathetic.I believe the most important element of therapy is the genuine connection between the client and therapist. Each client has unique needs and my goal is to meet each client where they are in their process of self awareness and healing. Therefore I utilize a variety of modalities such as CBT, ACT and Mindfulness. I see psychotherapy as a joint collaboration between therapist and client and strive to empower each client in their journey of inner exploration, mental, spiritual and physical healing.
I have an extensive background in the field of addiction, particularly eating disorders and drug and alcohol. My areas of focus also include depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationships, family and marriage, trauma, spirituality, mood disorders, pre and post partum, grief and loss and personal growth.
I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, emergency room and hospitals. I have a vast amount of experience in psychiatric evaluations and mental health. I bring with me compassion and respect for each persons quest in their healing process.
