My passion is working with children, teens and young adults. Sessions focus on self-awareness, choice, problem solving, goal setting and challenging in a caring and empathetic manner. As your therapist, I will work with you to identifying skills and resources you already have and support you in enhancing these skills and promoting growth. Some change occurs quickly and easily, but often, change requires slow, deliberate, and repeated efforts. I work along with you to develop a plan that is individualized to your specific concerns and needs. I look forward to supporting you through this journey of self-exploration and growth.
I utilize a variety of approaches/treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Trauma Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, Sandtray and Mindfulness Therapy. I implement creative and experiential techniques (including art/play interventions) to promote healing and improve your overall well-being.
I believe change and growth occur in a non-judgmental environment that provides a balance of challenge and support. All individuals have the potential for successfully meeting life’s day-to-day challenges. My primary goal as a counselor is to assist clients in using their resources/strengths in combination with with appropriate therapeutic interventions.
