My clients are successful, functioning, and used to holding things together on their own. They are looking for a place where they can breathe and have permission to not be figured out. My clients want to dig deep into the “whys” underneath their thoughts or behaviors. We’ll work to give you tools to address the exacerbation of your symptoms, but will also explore the “root system” underneath your concerns to understand how we got to where you are. I love creating space for folks to make new connections, to let go of past now-unhelpful narratives, and move forward with greater knowledge, trust, and reliance on themselves.
Areas where I work most frequently include chronic illness, spiritual abuse, anxiety, and relationship issues. I also specialize in supporting folks who are moving through deconstruction of their religious upbringing (or aspects of it such as purity culture) and all of the associated intensity and personal and relational shifts this often brings about.
My clients will tell you I'm warm, validating, and don't take myself too seriously. You'll find me more laid back and loosely-structured in my approach, which means you get to show up as exactly you and we get to move forward on this therapy journey without any pretense or pretending.
