About
Hello! My name is Katie and I have been working in behavioral health for over seven years. I have spent more than five years working in inpatient psychiatry, where I have worked with adults diagnosed with mental health disorders, including Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Schizoaffective Disorder, in addition to polysubstance use disorders. I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents specializing in Anxiety, ADHD, Major Depressive Disorder, and Gender Dysphoric Disorder. My passion is working with children and teens. My approach to psychotherapy is person-centered with a touch of humor!
I am currently working towards my Ph.D., where my research focuses on the experience of compassion fatigue in the field of mental health. I truly believe in the connection of mind and body and incorporate meditation and movement into my practice.
As a working mom, I understand the demands of a weekly schedule. I have early morning, evening and weekend availability.
