I work with adults and couples who feel stuck. They describe feeling helpless, unworthy, unfulfilled, and anxious. Connection and joy are brief and seem out of reach. They are often exhausted from unmet needs, chronic caretaking, traumatic triggers, and feelings of shame. They want to be known by their partner, friends, and community, tell a new story with their life, nurture a space of inner peace, or return to the love they once felt in their relationship. Emotions can feel overwhelming and chaotic or totally out of reach. They yearn to connect more authentically with their body, their world, and the people in it.
Therapy, whether individual or relational, is a loving and creative collaboration. We will create the opportunity for you to feel known, safe, and worthy of the life and relationship you are imagining. With curiosity and compassion, we will explore places where you feel stuck; replacing self-blame with self-love, and isolation with connection.
In relational work, we will practice creating safety to explore needs, shift communication dynamics, and deepen intimacy. It’s easy to get stuck in the same arguments and the same patterns with our partners, fearing more disconnect and hurt if we try something new. More is possible.
