I really enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I love helping others realize their strengths and focus on reaching their goals. I often approach therapy with the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy tools although I am able to incorporate other interventions as needed. Providing a warm and inviting environment where individuals can feel safe and comfortable is very important to me in treatment. Christian faith-based therapy is something else I provide when clients want to utilize their spirituality in their treatment.
My specialty is working with young people. I'm passionate about this developmental stage. These impressionable years have such an impact on who we become as adults. It's a time deserving of the attention and care of a trusted adult; I'm honored to walk alongside them in this part of their journey.
Having experience as a School Social Worker in our community and as a clinician in a local mental health facility, I am comfortable working with individuals with most mental health concerns. I have the most experience working with individuals with depression, anxiety, trauma, school-related issues, self-esteem, anger, ADHD, and bullying.
