I love working with Queer and Trans and/or Neurodivergent clients to feel more authentically themselves in whatever ways feel safe enough in these times when the sky is falling. Trauma treatment is a specialty that feels so rewarding when people are finally able to shed the impact of things that may have happened many years ago. Clients feel comfortable being themselves in my presence because they feel me genuinely reaching to meet them where they are and validating their pain. Anxious children visibly relax in my office, almost appearing to melt.
I have extensive training in treating the effects of trauma. I assist clients to let go of what no longer serves them and express what they feel, while changing how their brains and bodies store memories. Often, survivors and LGBTQ+ folx thrive in group therapy. I am open about also being a survivor of trauma, a client in therapy and a bisexual.
I am a fat, queer, chronically ill, neurodivergent cis woman. Many folx find healing and growth with me when many previous attempts to get help have failed. My groups and wellness programs reach lots of people who are suffering. I know the most important factor in therapy is a trusting and positive relationship with the therapist, so TRY ON therapists!

The third and final stage of healing from trauma/s is reconnection--with self/s, others, and world. This is more difficult than it sounds when connection led to our traumas to begin with! This monthly group is a chance to share the journey with others also learning to navigate relationships in a new reorganized mind/body complex.

Politically Persecuted Professionals Support Group

FIRST & THIRD WEDNESDAYS. Many professionals in our community now feel persecuted politically. We desperately need a place to feel seen and heard without fear of reprisal or violence. Not a place to plan political action, but to recover from it. Counselor-facilitated discussion, counselor-screened membership. Members will be accepted on an ongoing basis as room in the group allows (12 members max). Led by a Queer ND licensed counselor who fights for human rights and equity for all.
