Hi there! Whether you're new to therapy or you have been through it before, way to go making moves for yourself and wellbeing. I'm Katie, the owner of Best Life Detroit and I've been practicing in the city for over a decade. I'm passionate about working alongside my clients to support them in cultivating more of what they want and need in this life. Symptoms and responses to trauma, depression, anxiety and ADHD can get in the way of living your best life and I'm here to help navigate, process, cope and heal. Therapy is also a great resource if hoping for stronger connection, enjoyment and satisfaction out of relationship(s).
I am an experienced trauma therapist and am certified in treating trauma and PTSD with TFCBT and am also trained in EMDR. I also work alongside parents and caregivers to better support and understand the needs of their children with mental health challenges. I work with LGBTQ+ clients and am competent in letters for gender care.
I believe people are the experts of their own experience and it's important to build a safe, trusting and collaborative space to get the most of of this process.
