Katie Down, MT-BC, LCAT
Creative Arts Therapist, LCAT, MT-BC
I work with the idea that we connect to our higher selves and with each other through Creativity, Curiosity and Compassion. Creativity is what helps us to re-frame situations and see things through a new perspective. Curiosity gives us the tools to dig deeper into underlying causes of current or past difficulties. Compassion is what drives the therapeutic rapport in each session and allows clients the opportunity to examine their ability to move in new and healthy directions.
Healing is a process and journey between client and therapist. My practice, Sound Well Center describes the importance of a sound body and a sound mind. Our work together will emphasize the journey towards optimal wellbeing through the body-mind connection and flow.
I have a specialty in trauma and symptoms of PTSD. I offer EMDR, Guided Imagery in Music, and Reiki for reduction of symptoms and a deeper understanding of issues that keep us stuck in patterns that no longer serve our wellbeing.
