Hi! I'm Katie and I look forward to the opportunity to work with you. I am client-centered and strongly believe in the therapeutic relationship being a safe and affirming space. I believe the client knows themselves the best, yet sometimes we get stuck in patterns that are unhelpful for us, and sometimes we need support in getting un-stuck to move forward in life. I listen from a non-judgmental place so you will feel heard, understood, and know that you have meaningful support. I want my clients to feel that they can be their authentic selves and for them to flourish in all the ways imaginable.
I practice Strength Based and Solution Focused Therapy and incorporate CBT and DBT strategies into sessions. I have expertise in creating and auditing 504 plans for teens and many years experience collaborating with teachers, counselors, social workers and principals to advocate for the needs of my clients. I enjoy supporting and creating success for kids.
I understand the school systems, the college experience, the family system and dynamics, and the struggles of parenting. I would love to help you be the best version of yourself and support you as you begin to build the self-esteem you deserve. I can help you manage stress and navigate through life's challenges by supporting you through your healing journey.
