Katie received her Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward's University, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP), a Bodywork and Somatic Education Practitioner (BASE(tm)), and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Services for individuals, families, couples/same-sex partners, teens, and children are available.
Additionally, Katie completed General Mediation and Advanced Family Mediation courses at the Dispute Resolution Center in Austin, TX, and is a Texas certified sign language interpreter. She provides services in English and ASL to D/deaf and hard of hearing individuals and to families with both hearing and D/deaf members.
She works with numerous issues including situational and persistent depression, anxiety, family discord, motor vehicle accidents, significant abuse histories, medical traumas, and life transitions. Katie is also dedicated to helping female and male survivors of domestic/interpersonal violence, sexual abuse, and rape heal and reclaim their lives.
