Katie Arlene Baptist
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW
She/Her/Hers
Sometimes it feels overwhelming just to be a human in this world. You want to know you’re making the right choices for your life. You want to stop getting hooked by other people’s negativity and your own. You know that being kind to others starts with being kind to yourself, but there’s a constant critic yammering at the back of your brain that won't shut up. You need better work/life balance, but you keep on doubting yourself and you’re not even sure what that would look like. Most of all, you want to trust yourself, stand in your own authority, and use the time you have on earth to make it somehow better. I can help.
My orientation is feminist, integral, and mindfulness based. I delight in helping my clients to trust themselves and love themselves, so that they are better equipped to live their callings. My approach is rooted in a practice of presence, is sex positive, non-binary welcoming, and respectful of my client’s values, spiritual paths, and lifestyle choices.
Maybe in the past you’ve been in therapy because someone else asked you to go. This time, I invite you to choose it for yourself, and experience the difference. Starting down the path of self-compassion is a step that only you can take, but it's a path that changes everything. When you’re ready, I’d be honored to be an ally on the journey.
