About
Accepting Clients Online and In Person! My name is Katie, and I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and religious trauma. I primarily work with young adults experiencing anxiety or depression in the midst of major life transitions such as beginning college, leaving home, or starting a career. Depression or anxiety can result in low motivation, restlessness, and emotional overwhelm that can quickly become debilitating. I also assist people of all ages in processing traumatic religious experiences and environments. These experiences can have a variety of symptoms, but have a deep and long lasting impact.
I have worked in higher education settings for over five years and am familiar with the stressors and barriers that can come with navigating life transitions. I also have a great deal of personal and professional experience in high-control religious environments and conducted my thesis on the treatment of religious trauma.
As your therapist, I am committed to creating an authentic, collaborative space. I focus on providing practical tools to assist you in reaching your goals, as well as facilitating opportunities to reflect on your overall growth and desired outcomes. I consider it an honor to act as a therapist and would love to have the opportunity to work together!
