Everyone experiences unpleasant feelings such as anxiety, stress, and depression sometimes, but it's when these feelings build up without a healthy outlet that they can really effect our quality of life. The good news is that negative feelings are very manageable, and once you understand why you have certain unhelpful thoughts/behaviors/responses, you can learn to manage them in a more productive way that brings relief. Everyone needs someone they can trust and talk to who is outside their inner circle and meeting with a therapist can be a great step towards finding relief and understanding.
I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults, but offer therapy to all ages. My approach is simple and solution-focused: I like to encourage real, reflective conversations where you feel comfortable and in the driver's seat. Humor can be a great tool in therapy and I encourage the use of humor to highlight the humanness in all of us.
I work to meet you where you're at, without judgement or an agenda. I offer virtual throughout AK, AZ, OH and CO. In-person therapy is in GJ as well as equine-assisted therapy in Fruita, CO.
