After twenty six years in practice I still look forward to helping people piece together their lives. I strive to help them heal from their past while empowering them to be active participants in their present and future health and happiness. Individuals, couples and families can grow through adversities and heal. I incorporate very practical techniques for change which include but are not limited to: CBT (Cognitive Behavioral), Solution Focused, and Mind-Body. I integrate into the counseling relationship compassion, education, and coaching to help bring about growth and change. Specialize in Cancer/Medical Disorders and LBGTQ.
Assist individuals on their personal journey to learn about themselves. Educate parents to set and enforce boundaries and discipline using natural and logical consequences. Work with couples to learn to communicate, work together as a team, and rekindle the joy felt early in their relationship. Provide assistance with divorce recovery for the couple and children.
Help Cancer patients and families cope with the diagnosis, treatment, and pain. Part of their treatment team focusing on the emotional and psychological aspects of a Cancer diagnosis. Teach ways to keep their mind, body and spirit connected to guide their body towards optimal health. Use relaxation and guided imagery techniques when appropriate.
